This policy explains what personal information Real Pro Renovation collects through this website, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We have written it in plain language rather than legal boilerplate.

What we collect

Most forms on this site ask for two things only:

• Your name
• Your phone number

The cost estimate form also asks for:

• What you are renovating
• Your suburb (optional)
• Photos of your space (optional)

We do not ask for your address, your date of birth, or any financial information through this website. We do not have user accounts, and we do not run a mailing list.

Why we collect it

So we can call you back and talk about your renovation. That is the only reason. We use your phone number to contact you, your suburb to work out whether you are in the area we service, and any photos you send to give you a more accurate idea of cost before we visit.

Photos you send us

Photos are optional. If you send them, we use them only to understand your space and prepare an estimate. We will not publish a photo of your home on this website, on social media, or anywhere else without asking you first.

Where it goes

When you submit a form, the information is stored in this website’s database on our hosting provider’s servers in Australia, and a copy is emailed to us.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your information, and we do not pass it to marketing companies or lead-generation services.

We share it only where it is needed to do the work: with the licensed trades on your job, such as a plumber or electrician who needs your phone number to arrange access. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

Other services this site uses

• Google Maps. Our contact page includes an embedded map. When that page loads, Google receives your IP address and may set cookies, under Google’s own privacy policy rather than ours.
• Analytics. We use website analytics to understand which pages people visit and how they found us. This is aggregate information about traffic. It is not used to identify you personally, and it is not linked to anything you submit through a form.
• Hosting and email. Our hosting and email providers process data on our behalf in order to run the site and deliver our mail.

Cookies

This site sets a small number of cookies needed for pages and forms to work correctly, plus analytics cookies as described above. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking them may stop the forms from working.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details for as long as we may reasonably need them, which for a renovation enquiry usually means a couple of years, since people often come back to a project later. If you ask us to delete your details, we will.

Getting a copy, correcting it, or having it deleted

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Call 0478 883 860 or email [email protected] and we will action it. There is no charge, and we will respond within a reasonable time.

Security

The site is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) and access to enquiry records is limited to the people who need it. No website can promise perfect security, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you send us.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, tell us first and we will try to sort it out. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and change the date at the top.
